What is included in every plan?
All plans include IMAP, POP3 and SMTP access so you can use any standard email client, spam filtering, app passwords,. No credit card is required to start.
What email protocols do you support?
Every mailbox on Promail supports IMAP, POP3, and SMTP. This means you can connect any email client — Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, K-9 Mail on Android, and more.
Can I use my existing domain?
Yes. Point your domain's MX records to our mail servers, add the SPF and DKIM records we provide, and you are ready. The whole process typically takes under 30 minutes plus DNS propagation time.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes. You can change your plan at any time from your dashboard. When upgrading, the price difference is prorated for the remainder of your billing period. Downgrading takes effect at the next renewal.
Are prices in Tanzanian Shillings?
Yes. All prices are listed in TZS (Tanzanian Shillings) and billing is done in TZS. We support mobile money and local bank transfer payment methods.
How do routing rules work?
Routing rules let you forward, redirect, or auto-reply to email sent to any address on your domain. For example, route support@yourdomain.com to your helpdesk system or forward all mail for a deactivated address to a catch-all mailbox.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Yes. Paying annually saves you two months compared to the monthly rate — effectively giving you 12 months for the price of 10.
What are app passwords?
App passwords are unique one-time passwords you generate for each device or application that connects to your mailbox. If a device is lost or compromised you revoke only that app password, keeping your main account secure.
What happens if I exceed my mailbox or domain limit?
You will be prompted to upgrade to the next tier. We will never silently charge you extra — you choose when and whether to upgrade.
